After Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff's pick on Monday night, Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Marcus Peters finally recorded his first interception of
the 2023 NFL season. He did it in style, too, as he took one to the house.
Over the weekend, Erin Andrews, a friend and coworker of Sanders, got into the act early.
Actually, that pick-six was 75 yards long. This means, as Paul Gutierrez of ESPN pointed out,
that Peters is only a pick-six of more than 50 yards away from tying former NFL great Deion Sanders for the most pick-sixes in league history.
Peters demonstrated that he is still a dynamic player on the field with that interception
. When he sustained a severe lower-body injury in 2021 while still playing for the Baltimore Ravens, Peters was one of the best defensive backs in the league,
but he has not been the same since. He will turn 31 in January, so age is another significant factor in his decline.
