Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs has been contemplating retirement: 'More than anyone could possibly think.'

Kelce appears to be nearing the end of an illustrious NFL career.Travis Kelce has been one of the NFL's biggest stars for more than a decade, but at 34 years old,

the Chiefs tight end understands he's nearing the conclusion of his career.  Kelce rarely speaks about retirement, although he did open up about it in a recent interview with WSJ. Magazine.

During the chat, Kelce admitted that retirement is something that he thinks about "more than anyone could ever imagine."

Although the eight-time Pro Bowler hasn't missed many games in his career, he's taken a lot of hits, and the injuries are starting to pile up.

According to the Chiefs tight end, he's had 10 surgeries in his football career, and the pain from those procedures hasn't subsided.

"That's the only thing I've never really talked about openly, the discomfort." "The agony," Kelce explained.

"The lingering injuries -- the 10 surgeries I've had that I still feel every single surgery to this day."

Kelce usually keeps his thoughts about retirement to himself or plays it lightly. Back in June, when asked how long he thought he'd be able to play in the NFL, he provided a classic answer.
