Marvel Cinematic Universe will soon welcome Fantastic Four. None of the numerous attempts to adapt the beloved comic book series into a successful film have been successful, beginning with a 1994 attempt that was never even able to get into theaters. 

The 2005 20th Century Fox adaptation of Tim Story received negative reviews from critics. Despite earning enough money to support a 2007 sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, the film was a box office disaster. 

After that, the show was stuck in development hell for almost ten years until Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell returned to the series in 2015 as part of 20th Century Fox.

Fantastic Four is expected out on May 2, 2025. Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind the MCU, announced at the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022 that Fantastic Four will be the first movie released as part of Marvel's Phase Six.  

Director Matt Shakman told Collider in October that although the now-resolved actors' strike undoubtedly caused some production delays, the movie's work never came to a complete halt because his team was still able to work on effects and production design

That probably indicates that the film is on schedule for its planned release.
