The Last of Us, Euphoria, and White Lotus are among the HBO shows set for release in 2025.

When HBO CEO and Chairman Casey Bloys unveiled the 2024 slate for HBO and Max on Thursday morning, a few prominent names were noticeably absent.

According to TVLine, Hacks, Tokyo Voice, and Curb Your Enthusiasm are just a few of the returning HBO and Max favourites scheduled for the first half of 2024,

with House of the Dragon Season 2 perhaps debuting as early as the summer.

Emmy nominees Meanwhile, The White Lotus and The Last of Us are among the HBO shows that will not return to your screens until 2025

as a result of the recently concluded WGA and continuing SAG-AFTRA strikes (and/or other issues).

Bloys stated on Thursday that the third season of The White Lotus will not debut until 2025, as will Season 2 of The Last of Us and Season 3 of adolescent drama Euphoria (the latter of which was originally hinted at earlier this year).

Bloys said that if not for the actors' strike, The Last of Us would have begun production by now; instead, the plan is to begin filming on the successful video game adaptation in "early 2024."

Meanwhile, And Just Like That..., which was renewed for Season 3 in August, just recently opened its writers room after the WGA strike was resolved.
