Gymnast Olivia Dunne of LSU pointed up an outdated New York Times article on Thursday night.
The New York Times published a piece regarding Dunne and the state of NIL in November 2022. It had the subtitle,
"New Endorsements for College Athletes Resurface an Old Concern: Sex Sells." Despite the best efforts of her detractors,
Dunne—who has become a household figure in the sports world—made it clear that she is still standing.
This past summer, Dunne talked candidly about her encounter with The New York Times on a podcast.
She claimed that prior to that segment, strange inquiries were posed to her. "It was total nonsense,"
Dunne declared. "They told me over the phone in November that they would write a piece about my accomplishments and other things,
and I said, 'Okay, definitely.'" That is fantastic. The Times of New York. That is massive.
