Since the 2016 season, Colin Kaepernick has not participated in any NFL games.
That year, the ex-NFL quarterback started to kneel during the playing of the national anthem. 2016 was his final season in the league, with the San Francisco 49ers.
Even though Kaepernick has made an effort to return to the NFL, no team has signed him.
Nonetheless, Kaepernick has managed to land big sponsorship deals—among them, one with Nike.
The Swoosh has also made the decision to support Kaepernick. The influential company unveiled an updated collection featuring the former quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers this month.
"Colin Kaepernick is committed to working toward a more equitable future because he believes in the power of our unity.
Each distinctive emblem in his new capsule collection, created by artist @joyyamusangie, is intended to encourage you, share his sources of strength, and convey his impactful tale.
