Leonard Williams of the Seahawks talks about the Giants' emotional trade.

Leonard Williams, a defensive lineman, was acquired by the Seattle Seahawks from the New York Giants in exchange for second and fifth round picks.

During his first press conference with the Seahawks, Williams discussed the trade process in detail.

Leonard Williams stated, "I was excited, but there were definitely some highs and lows that day," according to Brady Henderson of ESPN.

There were some low points. I believe I was with the Giants for five years at that point

during which time I formed some relationships.

Even if you're thrilled about the future, I think it will always be difficult to say goodbye to people with whom you've developed relationships.

Even if you're thrilled about the future, I think it will always be difficult to say goodbye to people with whom you've developed relationships.

After that, I had a conversation with a few of my Giants teammates, and I started to cry once more

almost like I was saying goodbye. Nevertheless, all things considered, I believe that this will be a fun shift for me, and I'm looking forward to it.

Williams leaves the Giants, who recently dropped to 2-6 and have slim chances of making the playoffs, to join the 5-2 Seahawks, who are atop the NFC West.
