Ja Morant of the Grizzlies would miss out on $40 million if he is not named All-NBA.

Wednesday was Decision Day for Memphis Grizzlies standout guard Ja Morant, with $40 million on the line.

Morant needs to be named All-NBA in order for the contract he signed last summer to be upgraded to super max.

That, however, did not occur.Despite averaging 25 points, seven rebounds, seven assists,

And two steals per game this season for a Grizzlies club that finished second in the West for the second year in a row,

Morant did not make any of the three All-NBA teams revealed on Wednesday.Morant's problem this year was not on the court.

Morant's off-court issues, particularly an eight-game suspension for displaying a gun

in a Colorado nightclub late in the season, are likely to have cost him a large contract.Morant will still

Receive the highest contract in Grizzlies history: a five-year, 194-million-dollar deal.
