HBO shows including The Last of Us, Euphoria, and White Lotus are scheduled for release in 2025.

A few major players were missing from the discussion on Thursday morning when HBO CEO and Chairman Casey Bloys revealed the network's and Max's 2024 slate.

According to TVLine, returning HBO and Max series like Hacks, Tokyo Voice,

and Curb Your Enthusiasm are scheduled for the first half of 2024, while House of the Dragon Season 2 may air as early as the summer.

My dear Emmy Meanwhile, a number of HBO shows, including The White Lotus and The Last of Us,

won't be back on your screens until 2025 as a result of the recently resolved WGA and ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes (as well as other issues).

All in all, Bloys revealed on Thursday that the third season of The White Lotus, Season 2 of The Last of Us, and Season 3 of the teen drama Euphoria—whose postponement had been previously mentioned earlier this year—will not air until 2025.

Bloys pointed out that if it weren't for the actors' strike, The Last of Us would have been in production by now; instead, it is hoped that filming on the popular video game adaptation would begin in "early 2024."

Max's It prequel series Welcome to Derry is scheduled for release in 2025 as well.
