Everything We Know About Season 3 of Euphoria

The smash drama from Sam Levinson will not return to HBO until 2025, but his star-studded ensemble has been staying busy in the meanwhile.

Unfortunately, no one will be feeling Euphoria for another year. HBO chairman Casey Bloys said on Thursday that Euphoria,

the smash teen drama from auteur Sam Levinson starring Emmy-winner Zendaya, will return to the premium cable network in 2025 after being off the air for roughly three years.

The third season of Euphoria has been kept under wraps, with Levinson telling Elle in August that he saw it as a "film noir."

Zendaya's disturbed but well-meaning Rue would "explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world," Levinson stated at the time.

Season three of Euphoria has not yet commenced production, partly because of the recently ended writers' strike and the continuing SAG-AFTRA strike. Apologies!

To put it mildly, Euphoria's season two finale was quite the show. It begins with the second act of a highly meta play about Maude Apatow's (Lexi) early years in Euphoria-ville.

When Maddy (Alexa Demie) realizes, shockingly, that she is the main character in the play ("Is this play about us? "),

"Age is just a word for living," said Anne Hathaway.
