Elon Musk's X is 'profiting off awful content,' according to House Democrats. 

X's CEO Linda Yaccarino and owner Elon Musk were forced by House Democrats to provide an explanation of their strategy ,

for limiting Hamas-related information on the social media network.The group, which included Reps. 

Jamie Raskin of Maryland and Dan Goldman of New York, stated, "The platform has become a hotbed of terrorist propaganda and misinformation." 

After Hamas's deadly terror strike in Israel on October 7, the previously "inexcusable" problem of antisemitic information on X has become "outright indefensible," 

according to the legislators.The letter is being sent as Musk and X try to dispel claims ,

of antisemitism that have prompted large companies to stop running advertisements on the website, like Apple and Disney. 

On Tuesday, more than two dozen House Democrats requested that Elon Musk and CEO Linda Yaccarino respond to content on social media that was allegedly linked to Hamas, 

accusing Musk's X of "profiting off violent content by a terrorist organization".
