Deion Sanders makes a change on Colorado coaching staff

Colorado needs to win two of its final three games to qualify for a bowl game, having lost its last four games.

Deion Sanders is moving Pat Shurmur, a quality control analyst, up to offensive play caller for

Colorado's Saturday matchup against Oregon State. The news was first reported by Brett McMurphy of The Action Network,

and it has since been verified by other sources. Sean Lewis, the offensive coordinator,

will continue to work with the team and call plays for the Buffs against the Beavers.

At the time of publication, it was unclear who would be demoted and whether it would be a temporary or permanent reduction.

Shurmur was the head coach of the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns in the past.
