Cowboys Trade for Chris Jones ‘Liked’ by Chiefs Holdout

FRISCO - Chris Jones, a star player for the Kansas City Chiefs, is a holdout and clearly dissatisfied with his current $20 million contract, which is nearing its end.

What does the defensive tackle who makes plays "like"? What was it on social media that suggested he be traded to the Dallas Cowboys?

Even though the Chiefs—the reigning Super Bowl champions—will take on the Lions in their season opener on Thursday,

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Jones and the team are "not close on a deal."

Naturally, this has given rise to conjecture in the media linking Jones—who is rumored to be looking for an all-time high $30 million APY deal—to the Cowboys.

How come? Because "media speculators" make their living doing just that.

Furthermore, there is a rumor that the Chiefs are looking to trade Osa Odighizuwa and a first-round pick to Dallas.

This is probably false rumors because it implies that the two teams have discussed trading, which is not supported by any evidence.
