Cowboys Predicted to Deal $57 Million Playmaker: ‘Trade Pawn’

The Dallas Cowboys rumours are heating up, not only about the team signing new players, but also about the team potentially transferring some of its own playmakers.

Matt Holder of Bleacher Report made five wild predictions ahead of the NFL trade deadline, with the Cowboys trading receiver Michael Gallup among them.

The Cowboys may use the underperforming wideout as a "trade pawn" for a guy like Titans standout Derrick Henry, according to the analyst.

"While the Dallas Cowboys are expected to be buyers instead of sellers at the deadline and have been loosely linked to Derrick Henry recently,

I wouldn't rule out them using Michael Gallup as a trade pawn," Holder wrote in an email on October 28, 2023.

"Wide receiver is the position with the most depth on the Cowboys' roster. CeeDee Lamb is their favourite target, while speedster Brandin Cooks may be a deep danger,

KaVontae Turpin is a nice gadget player, and Jalbert Tolbert is ready to go after receiving positive feedback in training camp. Gallup, on the other hand, has been progressively falling.

"The Tennessee Titans could be interested in a 26-year-old wideout who has been productive in the past and is under contract until 2026.
