Cowboys Predicted to Deal $57 Million Playmaker: ‘Trade Pawn’

The Dallas Cowboys rumors are heating up, not only about the team acquiring new players, but also about the team potentially moving some of its own playmakers.

Matt Holder of Bleacher Report made five bold predictions ahead of the NFL trade deadline, with the Cowboys trading receiver Michael Gallup among them.

According to the analyst, the Cowboys could use the underperforming wideout as a "trade pawn" for a player such as Titans star Derrick Henry.

"While the Dallas Cowboys are expected to be buyers rather than sellers at the deadline and have been loosely linked to Derrick Henry recently," Holder explained on October 28, 2023.

"Wide receiver is the position with the most depth on the Cowboys' roster. CeeDee Lamb is their top target, while speedster Brandin Cooks can be a deep threat,

, KaVontae Turpin is a good gadget player, and Jalbert Tolbert is ready to go after receiving positive feedback in training camp. Gallup, on the other hand, has been steadily declining.

It would not be surprising if the Tennessee Titans were interested in a 26-year-old wideout who has previously been productive and is under contract through 2026.

As a result, Dallas could use Gallup as a bargaining chip to land someone like Henry while reducing the amount of draft capital it would have to give up."
