The Rams' Cooper Kupp suffered an ankle injury against the Seahawks.

INGLEWOOD, California – Cooper Kupp, the Los Angeles Rams' star wide receiver, suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter of the team's game against the Seattle Seahawks and did not return.

The injury occurred during the Rams' 17-16 victory on Sunday. The Rams' medical staff examined Kupp on the sideline before he went to the locker room before halftime.

He was on the sideline with his helmet on during the third quarter, but he did not return to the field and was ruled out at the start of the fourth quarter.

"He was going to try to come back and play," said coach Sean McVay following the game.

"He was moving around at the beginning of the second half and we were hoping that he'd be able to go, but it just didn't quite feel good enough."

After the game, McVay did not have an update on the severity of Kupp's injury.

Kupp has 23 catches for 364 yards and a touchdown in 2023 after missing the first four games with a hamstring injury

He was placed on injured reserve at the end of the 2022 season after leaving a Week 10 loss with a high ankle sprain that required surgery.
