After the San Francisco 49ers beat the New York Giants on Thursday, Brock Purdy made NFL history again.

This 30-12 triumph over New York gave Purdy eight straight regular-season wins to start his career, the third-longest in NFL history.

Before the game, Purdy was tied for third on the all-time list with four other quarterbacks with a seven-game streak.

As of right now, he occupies the third slot by himself.

As seen, Ben Roethlisberger has the longest NFL streak. Big Ben's streak went from Week 3 of 2004 through Week 3 of 2005.

He led the Steelers to the AFC Championship game in his inaugural year in 2004, but they lost. In 2005, he led them to a Super Bowl XL triumph.

In his debut year, Purdy led the 49ers to the conference title game, but they lost. This year, they are the odds-on favourites to win the Lombardi Trophy.

The 49ers have been unbeaten with Purdy at quarterback since Week 13 of 2022, when they crushed the Buccaneers 35-7.

"Age is just a word for living," said Anne Hathaway.
