ACM Awards Speech: Tim McGraw Holds Back Tears Talking About Faith Hill and Daughters

During the ACM Honors Award Show last month, Tim McGraw was overcome with emotion as he accepted the coveted ACM Icon Award.

"I'm going to try to get through this, but I'm a weeper," McGraw said at one point.

While he kept his cool when thanking his collaborators, the country singer's eyes welled up with tears when he mentioned his family.

McGraw, 56, thanked his mother and sisters before speaking to his wife, Faith Hill, who was in the audience at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.

"My world changed the day I met Faith," he said, noting that he couldn't look her in the eyes for fear of breaking down completely.

"You're my partner in life, you're my partner musically, and help the rest of me," he said.

"Without you and your grace, I would not be where I am today." "I love you completely."

McGraw became emotional as he spoke about his three daughters, two of whom were in the audience (Maggie, 25, and Audrey, 21).
